Recent Interior Shutter Jobs

Show-Case Shutters has been making shutter tracks all over the US for 17 years.  This year is no different.  During that time the company has showcased its hand made shutters through awesome projects like those shown below.

Making the shutter experience as easy as possible, Show-Case Shutters offers a full “no liability” service to retail customers in 10 states. The company also provides DiY (Do it Yourself) service to the remaining 40 states.

Shutter Boom Coming

All of this comes at a great time for the window treatment industry as interior shutters are making a big comeback.  This is evident by the number of shutter dealers that have emerged around the country.   Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and Washington DC, especially, are seeing major jumps in interest and sales.

After solidifying position in Pittsburgh in 2016, Show-Case Shutters is now focused on the Ohio Valley.   Currently the company has placed a representative as far west as Dayton, Ohio.

Wholesale, Retail and Shutter Designers Welcome

Show-Case Shutters also works with quality designers and builders across the same territory.  These professionals take advantage of the company’s reduced “designer” rate. The rate, between wholesale and retail price points, allows any window treatment professional to be competitive in any market.

The company does not just focus on standard shutters either.  Specials like raised panel shutters, barn wood shutters and drift wood shutters are also available.  The company is a custom manufacturer that thrives on challenges that other companies cannot tackle.  In fact, Show-Case Shutters is a go to manufacturer for other companies looking to fulfill custom requests.

Finally, here are the latest examples of what we are doing right as we have made our way into Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia and Washington DC in 2016.

Distressed Plantation Shutter

We have distressed shutters unlike anyone else in the country!

We have completed more than 85% of our orders using a shade of white.  That does not mean we throw uniqueness out the window… excuse the pun!!

As part of the Show-Case Shutters “Homestead Collection” our custom interior distressed shutter is truly a work of art.

Distressed Shutter Process

The eight-step, hand made process is what makes this shutter special.  We begin the process with one of our standard premium shutters. By the end we have a shutter from an era gone by.

Our craftsman spend extra time on each panel.  They ensure the simulated “worm” holes and distress marks look, and feel, like something out of the past.

Included in this process are a number of different hand sanding sessions. Ironically, it takes time to create the “antique look”.  A look that is finished off with a beautiful glaze.

This shutter is one of several specials that are offered by Show-Case Shutters. Other unique choices include a knotty “rustic finish” often used in timber framed homes.  We also offer a distressed barn wood finish, a driftwood finish and custom engraving for raised panel shutters.

Using these unique finishes, Show-Case Shutters has carved out its own niche in the competitive world of interior shutters.

The Homestead Collection

Show-Case Shutters is pleased to announce the Homestead Collection – unique, hand-crafted plantation shutters, are now available.

Barn wood Shutters

It is a request we have heard many times:  “Can you make a barn wood shutter?”  The answer, in short is, “not very well”. Distressed barn wood is just that – distressed.  Decades old, the material at one time had better days.  The process of turning such material into a shutter is a game of splinters.

That’s when owner, Shan Carroll, decided to make a faux distressed barn wood from one of Show-Case Shutter’s premium shutters.

The process is an eight-step process that is extremely time-consuming.  Alder is the wood of choice for this finish.  A wood that, once finished, is incredible for this shutter.  Especially after the knot holes are individually sanded out.

Driftwood Shutters

Our driftwood shutter is actually the white version of the “smoke” colored barn wood shutter.  These two shutters are our standard distressed barn wood finishes.  However, we can custom stain any color the client needs.

Rustic Shutters

This shutter is finished using premium basswood.  In general, manufacturers look for smooth basswood for their stain grade – we look for knotty bass for this finish.  In the end the stained product is the perfect mix for those beautiful timber frame homes that are nestled back in the mountains.

Distressed Deco Shutters

This finish has that 1950’s era kitchen feel that is hard to get.  This hand finished product includes custom glazing and imperfection recreation.  The end product is perfect for that hard to match project.

Engraved Raised Panel Shutters

Finally, because of our custom capabilities, we also have the equipment for custom engraving!  This is perfect for that sports fan that wants their team’s logo forever etched into their man cave shutters.  How about your initials in the dividing doors hanging in your formal room?  If you can dream it, we can do it!

These five offerings make up the Homestead Collection which is now available at all levels of sale.  Contact David Tate at (540)206-7479.
